On Top of My Head

This is my veil from BelAire. It's fingertip length with silver beading on the edges

This is my tiara also from BelAire Bridal - I liked how i was sparkly but not huge, and the swiry design goes well with my dress

I'll probably change in to these at some point in time - for sure for the outdoor pics! Uggs has these really cute sweater boots too - I might go for those instead. I'll make that decision in November!

The Accessories

Picture
I wanted to have a clutch to carry things like blotting powder and my Chapstick
Picture
I'm a Panthers fan, and Jon is a Packers fan, so I found this eBay seller that made half of the garter out of one team's colors and half from the other. It's perfect!!
Picture
My earrings - because my dress is so heavily beaded, I'm not planning on wearing a necklace, but I love the sparkle that these provide!

The veil and tiara will come off after the ceremony, to be replaced by a hair comb since I'll be doing a half-up, half-down style. This isn't the comb I bought, it's just a placeholder until I get a pic of the one I have

The Dress - Jon, if you're here, you don't want to look!

I started dress shopping on January 16th, and fell in love with the third dress I tried on.  I saw it at a bridal show and made a special trip to a bridal salon about an hour away to try it on for myself.  My eyes watered up when I put it on, and I didn't want to take it off.  I couldn't stop staring at myself in the mirror!!  (And I hate the mirror!)

However, my mom is paying for my dress.  And she insisted that I keep the other appointments I had at other salons to make sure that was the dress I loved.  I agreed, but made a follow-up appointment to try on the dress of my dreams mere hours after my last scheduled appointment.

***UPDATE*** I am sooooo glad my mom made me go to those other appointments, because she was totally right.  The last appointment I had before I went back to the first store I found THE DRESS!!!  I had actually tried on the exact same dress at one of my other appointments, but the sample was too small so I vetoed it.  However, on this trip the store had a sample that was actually my perfect size, and I loved it!!  It has all of the beading and designs I wanted.  I went back and tried on the first dress, and I just felt so ridiculous in it.  That's how I knew the second dress was MY dress.

It's by Casablanca, style 1906.  I got it in pure white, so I'll definitely be getting a faux tan for the wedding!

I ordered everything from Jay's Bridal Online - and I mean everything.  I ordered my dress, veil, tiara, earrings, a pair of shoes and a clutch.  They were fantastic to work with, and my dress came in about a month before the projected arrival date.  The only problem is with the shoes and clutch; I had them dyed red because I wanted the pop of color, and when I tried the shoes on the dye rubbed off all over my feet.  Same with the clutch.  So maybe I'll use those at the rehearsal dinner, where I plan on wearing a dark colored dress.

Please excuse the up close view of my chest - but it's a good shot of the detail. I love the princess seams on the bodice, and the beading!

The beading on the bottom of my dress

Please excuse my funky face - I don't photograph well. At all. But here's my dress!!!!!! And you can see my tiara a little bit.
