Serving Set

More Vera Wang Love Knots.
The server is engraved with our names and wedding date.
Looking back, this probably wasn't really worth the money.  I'm pretty sure it'll never be used after the wedding.  But, we got it on sale, and it'll look pretty for the day, so I'm still happy.

Guestbook

Picture
Okay, so it's not a book.  The mat is metal, and it has an engraving pen that comes with it.  We'll put an engagement picture in the middle, and it will be on the entrance table at the reception.  We re-framed it, so it's just in a really simple black wood frame that's about 1" thick.

This picture shows a sign included that says please sign our guestbook and gives directions.  I'm omitting this, as I'm fairly confident our guests will be able to figure it out.

Cake Topper

Picture
I initially bought a cake topper from the famous Crafty Eddy, and I covered it in hundreds of tiny Swarovski crystals.  Then, I got to the end.  And I hated it.  The crystals were all crooked, and it was too sparkly.  I thought about doing it myself again...but honestly, it just wasn't worth the stress.  Or the pain in the neck and lower back I got from doing the first one.  So I found the partially covered crystal cake toppers from weddingcuts.com and I loved them.  We got a 1/8" thick brushed metal E in Chopin Script.  It's 5" high and decorated with black and siam crystal accents.  I think it turned out way better than my initial attempt.

Bar Accessories

I swore I wouldn't get the personalized stuff...after all, who really cares??  But I saw these on the Knot, and they were on sale, and I think they're cute.  So there.  I admit it.  I care.  Ours have an E rather than the cherries.  And they'll have half silver foil, half red foil.  I figure I'll buy some cheap bowls and put the matches at the bar and the napkins can be handed out with drinks.  They're cute.  And cheap.

Transportation

Picture
One of Jon's only requests was that we have an SUV limo for the wedding.  He's very flexible on all of the other details of the wedding, so how could I say no?  We booked this at a local bridal show, and got an amazing deal in the process!!  It's a 14-passenger Cadillac Escalade, brand new this year.  It's going to pick me and the girls up from the hotel and bring us to the church, then maybe go pick Jon up (depending on where he is getting ready).  At least this way I know he won't bolt before the wedding!! ;)  They also have a 6 passenger Lincoln that will come get us at the end of the reception and take us to our hotel.  Awesome!!

Cake

Picture
Our cake is going to have multiple flavors, which I'm really excited about.  There will be some of it yellow cake, with one layer of lemon buttercream filling and one layer of French buttercream with raspberry puree and the rest will be chocolate cake with one layer of chocolate buttercream and one layer of peanut butter buttercream.  Not going to lie, I was originally going to let Jon have 100% control over the cake, but I was obsessed with the peanut butter buttercream so I begged him to let me include it in our cake.  It'll look very similar to the cake pictured here, but no bow and the piping will be black.
